Mondriaanhuis

Art and motion for the exhibit Onbegrensd (No limits).

2022 is the year the dutch artist Piet Mondriaan would have become 150 years old. Museum Mondriaan house is celebrating this with a special exhibition in which visual artists and painters are connected to composers Together they work on an installation which is on display at the museum.

Painter Amerentske Koopman and composer Anne-Maartje Lemereis asked me whether I could be involved advising and working on animated motion as part of their installation.

Next to that I have assisted the museum creating the artistic promotion film above.  In the film you see the paintings of Amerentske Koopman come to life to the music of Anne-Maartje Lemereis. This is an audio reactive animation, which means that the staccato pianosound controls the amount of movement in the dots that become a full screen painting. There are 7 dots symbolising the 7 composers that participate in this art show. They work in collaboration with 7 artists who are represented by the 7 rectangles that are connected during the film.
