Conducting Colors

exploring & visualising the work of conductors

While working on different music, art and animation projects, a fascination for the work of conductors grew on me. I came up with a plan to act on my fascination which led to a new project in which I collaborate with designer Gokay Atabek. In the R&D project Conducting Colors  we investigate how we can create a link between visuals and emotion(s) that a conductor envisioned for during a piece of music. Various conductors helped us with information and now we are processing this into a proof of concept prototype. With this set-up we can provide a visual context for the performance. It is not an easy road and there are several hurdles to overcome, but we are learning quickly and are very enthusiastic about the progress.
